This policy covers the BulkBack iPhone app and this website, operated by SAMCOM LLC ("we", "us").

BulkBack app

Receipts stay on your device. The receipts you scan or import, including their text and page pictures, are stored on your iPhone. We do not upload them to our servers and we cannot see them.

Optional iCloud backup. If you turn on iCloud backup, a copy of your receipts is stored in your own iCloud Drive, under your Apple Account, so you can restore them after reinstalling or changing phones. That copy is managed by Apple and is not accessible to us.

Camera and photos. BulkBack uses the camera or files you choose only to read receipts. Text recognition runs on your device.

Notifications. Reminders are scheduled on your device. No notification data is sent to us.

Sale book downloads. The app downloads the current Costco savings book from our server. That request contains no receipt data and no account information. Like any web request, our server may log standard technical data such as IP address and time.

No accounts, ads or tracking. BulkBack currently requires no sign-in and contains no advertising.

Website

This website does not use advertising cookies. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

Your choices

Delete the app to remove its local data. Delete the BulkBack folder in iCloud Drive (or turn off iCloud backup) to remove the iCloud copy.

Changes

If we change how BulkBack handles data, we will update this page and the date above.
